First impression: Sporadic vignettes from a universal reality.

Layout: [twenty of forty-nine points] Your dark vibrant layout is a fair reflection of your equally-vibrant personality, but the red-on-black text makes it difficult for your readers to see what you've written. And unfortunately, several of your links don't work. Your notes and profile link actually drive readers back to the locale of your designer! So do the forward and back links that should link to more recent and older entries, respectively.

Content: [seventy-five of eighty-seven points] Your writing is coherent, sometimes angry, occasionally hysterically funny, and often poignant. Your recollections of trying to become pregnant, interspersed with cat stories, golf stories, and alternating epithets and endearments toward hubby, give your readers an idea that your life is a roller-coaster ride. Your descriptions of moving strike a chord with Miss Dawn, who found herself nodding along with the assessments you provided. Miss Dawn has no doubt that anyone who has ever moved can share an appreciation for what you relayed in your diary. In fact, you touch often on universal themes, and that is your strength. You write about the things that nearly all human beings experience.

You are painfully honest in describing your fears, expressing your passion, and allowing your readers to share in your humorous moments. But you tend toward short entries, in general, when more detail would entice readers to return. When you described camping out with a telescope, you provided a brief verbal glimpse at a night sky, and explained that you were excited for spying Pluto, giving verbal homage to the vision of a nocturnal happy dance. You have the ability to write expressively. The only fault Miss Dawn found with the content was that there was relatively little of it!

Frequency: [seven of twenty-two points] You seem to write when the mood strikes, occasionally two or even three times in a single day. More commonly, though, you allow weeks to lapse between entries. Tsk, tsk! While your diary is your own, you write so infrequently it is difficult for readers to develop a true affinity for the person about whom they are reading. The whole idea of a public diary is to share and hopefully touch some kindred spirits! Miss Dawn would suggest setting a regular time, as your schedule permits; perhaps twice a week.

Judgment: You write in clear, concise, complete sentences and your spelling is reasonably consistent. Miss Dawn didn't need time to decipher what you were saying - you said it, clearly and without ambiguity. While your layout is generally attractive, there are some technical and practical problems that need to be addressed before it gets a passing grade. With a bit of tweaking your design code, and a bit more frequency of writing, your sparkling personality can be showcased to its best advantage.
