First impression: Cool simplicity can camouflage great depth.

Layout: forty-two of forty-nine points
Your layout is simple but entirely workable. Miss Dawn tried several links and all of them worked; and while Miss Dawn is not overly fond of the scrolling frame-within-a-frame format, she did not deduct any points for its use. This is, after all, your diary. Your simple layout permits the focus to be on what you have to say, which is precisely the point of any diary or journal.

Miss Dawn's only complaint is that the frame does not align properly in browsers other than IE. And while Snoopy is not precisely Miss Dawn's personal taste, he represents a universality that cannot be denied, so Miss Dawn deems him perfectly acceptable as your sole image. The only points deducted were for the frame misalignment, which is somewhat distracting but does not render the page illegible.

Content: seventy of of eighty-seven points
Miss Dawn typically does not give high scores in terms of content and believes that your score in this category is the second-highest that she has awarded. She allows for your age and for the fact that you are not a typical young woman for your age. You are an enigma, a cross-breed who hovers alternately between self-acknowledged naivete and genuine depth.

You write on a wide array of subjects, ranging from your faith to the discovery that young male friends - including some with romantic connections - are gay. Miss Dawn must admit to giggling at your recollection of a Show Choir trip that took a tangental trip through nude television. Your straightforward style kept the story light, yet honest. It was a passing moment in a normal life, not the final destination. If only more people (of ANY age) would recognize the same.

Perhaps that is the appeal of your diary. You write clearly, using appropriate spelling and grammar. You neither exaggerate nor veer off of the honesty with flowery terminology. You are, in a word, the kind of normal that virtually everyone Miss Dawn knows aspires to be. Occasionally your references to youf faith or to your friends and family can sound a bit saccharine. That's a refreshing change and Miss Dawn hopes and believes that it is a reflection of your personality, not merely a front.

Frequency: sixteen of twenty-two points
You write in spurts, every few days, seemingly when the mood strikes. That has been your timetable since your diary's inception, however, and Miss Dawn understands the time constraints of your musical, personal and family demands. A bit more frequency would be appropriate, as would more frequent meanderings that allow readers a peek into your heart, rather than solely a recounting of events of the day. Those moments are the golden ones in a diary, the windows that permit readers to really become engrossed by the details of your life.

Bonus Points: seven
Miss Dawn has a great deal of respect for a young adult who can navigate school and life in general yet remain firm in his or her faith. It is no small thing and no matter what others may claim at the time, they know that it takes a strength of character that they lack. Miss Dawn awards you these points in recognition of that rarely-seen strength, and wishes you the best as you continue along that road.

Judgment:Your style is simple and straightforward, much in the way that water finds the most direct way to flow. Life and water must flow around and over barriers. Where some are stymied by dams, you display the way to continue on your path, temporarily diverted from time to time but always returning to the path you are meant to take.
